New Qi Gong Class Oct 17th

By Steven Sonmore L. Ac. | August 14, 2007

Another wonderful healing therapy from China is Qi Gong. Qi (pronounced “chee”) is your vital life energy. Gong is the skill or discipline of working with your Qi (vital life energy). So Qi Gong is an integral part of Traditional Chinese medicine that can be used for self healing. Almost anyone can learn and practice it. Studies have indicated that Qi Gong can stabilize your blood pressure, reduce pain, boost your energy level, increase concentration, reduce incidence of stroke, extend lifespan, and increase blood flow to the brain.* Qi Gong can eliminate your stress. You can learn to experience tranquility in the midst of a fast paced lifestyle.

Qi Gong teaches us that “the mind leads the Qi, and the Qi leads the blood.” Think of it as your mind directing the Qi within your body to regulate its internal functions optimally.

There are both sedentary and moving forms of Qi Gong. In the sedentary meditation form we meditate on our internal organs to maximize their effecinacy. On Wednesday, October 17 & 24, 2007 from 7-8:30pm I am teaching a class called Qi Gong Meditation. You will learn the treasured Taoist secret of putting loving energy into your organs to optimize their efficiency. Plus, you can receive a new bonus added to this class that is unlike any other Qi Gong class. I am now using the ancient Chinese science of sound. These are sounds that harmonize your internal organs and energy pathways. This sound therapy is based on research of the Chinese classic Huang Di Nei Jing, the Yellow Emperor’s Inner Classic.
